by Michael M. Meyer, D. Min.

The Age of Distraction is one man’s perspective on the times and events of nearly forty years from the death of JFK to September 11, 2001. It is dedicated to the memory of a 1992 graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Suzanne Kondratenko died, along with thousands of others, when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York. This book is simply meant to cause the reader to think, and in the end, it may lead to a more peaceful world.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Michael Meyer studied for twelve years to be a Catholic priest. He lived in a seminary during the 1960s. But just prior to ordination, he decided to take “the road less traveled.” Presently, Dr. Meyer teaches in the Upper School of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. His sole purpose in writing this thought-provoking tale of the times in which we live is to honor the memory of a graduate of his school who tragically lost her life on September 11. His hope is that those who read it will honor the memories of all who lost their lives on that day by working for a more peaceful world.
