by P.D. Kelley
Lieutenant Sinclair is a young man who chooses to be different from his regular “black friends.” His friends believe since he is a “brother,” he should do the things they like to do. But Lieutenant likes to go hiking, camping, fishing, and whale-watching. He doesn’t, however, like to hang around the corner liquor store smoking and getting high. In fact, Lieutenant’s goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He also is determined to be the first black surfing champion, the “Tiger Woods of surfing.”
Read Black Surf to see if Lieutenant reaches his goal!
