by Michael P. Garnes
Drakar, The Dragon That Went to School is the story of Drakar, a dragon that leaves the mountains of Palpadore to attend elementary school so that he can be smart like the children he sees going to school. Obsessed with learning, Drakar soon rises to the top of the class.
The children all love Drakar, but the fun comes to an abrupt end when Drakar is attacked on the playground by a knight sworn to slay all dragons in Palpadore.
Drakar, The Dragon That Went to School is a very colorful story that explores conflict resolution, respect for authority, and the power of education. An excellent picture book for ages five to ten, Drakar, The Dragon That Went to School is filled with powerful messages that help instill character and values in young readers.
