by Van T. Le

Essential English Grammar: A Complete Study of Clauses & Important Sentence Constructions was written with the intermediate to advanced English-as-a-Second-Language student in mind. Whether you are interested in enhancing your understanding of the English language or are preparing to take such English proficiency exams as TOEFL or TOEIC, this book will help you. With easy-to-follow models, explanations, and examples, Essential English Grammar makes it easy for you to understand and remember the difficult constructions that can make English such a frustrating language to learn. Most importantly, you are given many exercises that not only allow you to practice the grammatical concept that you just learned but also give you the opportunity to review previously studied material. A complete answer key makes it easy for you to evaluate yourself so that you can know your strengths and weaknesses even when you are studying on your own.

About the Author

Van T. Le came to the United States from Vietnam in May 1995 without any English. For the next two years, she dedicated herself to becoming proficient in the language while winning several awards for her academic excellence. Since then, Ms. Le has shared her knowledge of, and passion for, English grammar with countless EFL students. Today, Ms. Le, along with her husband, focuses on helping international students prepare for the TOEFL and TOEIC tests. She continues teaching English grammar to these students and plans to write more English textbooks in the future.
