Some believed a giant winged horse flew out of the sky, plucked them up, and then dropped them off there. Others believed they could then find their way into the forest. The truth was a little of both. Sometimes the giant winged horse would appear out of the sky, pluck them up, and drop them into the forest, and others would find their way into the forest through heartbreak. So let us begin. ABOUT THE AUTHOR I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I have owned horses, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and dogs. For twenty years, I owned a successful paint company. About four years ago, my husband of thirty-seven years passed away. He left me with beautiful memories, wonderful children, and thirteen grandchildren. A couple of years ago, I met and married another very fine man. He brought twelve grandchildren into my life. Its been wonderful. Now I have twenty-five grandchildren. Needless to say, I love children. They come in all sizes and shapes. They come in all kinds of temperaments and all kinds of emotions. Theyre interested in everything. I wrote my first book on Freedom Forest about twelve years ago. Then I shelved it. I picked up Freedom Forest about twelve months ago, made some changes, and read it to my grandchildren.
