by Charles H. Schermerhorn
Gabe’s Place, originally a play written for the author’s youth group, was put into book form for all to enjoy.
Sammy is an average guy with modern-day problems, and Carol, his sister-in-law, doesn’t particularly like him. So, when Charlie, his brother, invites him over for the Christmas holidays, the fun begins – especially when Charlie springs the decision on his wife on Christmas Eve.
With humor, Gabe’s Place will take you into the life of a hurting man and allow you to see what real love is all about.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Charles H. Schermerhorn’s passion for life overflows into everything he does. With his natural humor and zest, taking a story and putting every emotion into it comes naturally for him.
Chuck’s love for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his hometown team, made him learn to take life with a grain of salt. As he says, “Those were the lean years.” He figures, if you could be a Buccaneer fan when they were dismal, you could do anything. Putting humor into it just seems natural. “God wants us to laugh. Look in the mirror in the morning and try not to.”
Charles and his wife, Donna, live in a Charlotte, North Carolina, suburb with their Basset hound, Fred.
