ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Fred Gilliam is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality and holds numerous certifications, including one as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He holds an MBA and a B.S. in computer science and information systems.
Fred has over twenty-five years of combined business experience in quality management, information technology, and manufacturing, with the bulk of that experience in leadership roles. He has experience throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. He was a corporate quality manager at DirecTV, where he led a 140-member team project in the development, documentation, implementation, testing, training, and maintenance of their business continuity program throughout the USA, Latin America, and Caribbean regions. He was presented the "Quality Practitioner of the Year Award" from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) in Partnership with the South Florida Manufacturing Association on February 3, 2005.
