Author Betty Jean Jefferson is a native of Hertford, NC, and currently resides in Norfolk, VA, with her husband, Edward, of twenty-eight years. She holds a B.S. degree in psychology and a masters degree in special education. She is currently working on her second masters, which is in school guidance, and she plans to use it to enhance the lives of school-age children.
