by Carol Jaques-Plester This is a story telling children in a lighthearted way about a grandmas passing. I also found that adults seem to appreciate it as well. The boy who drew the illustrations is also the person who inspired me to write this story, as he was grieving the loss of his grandma. I gave his mother this story to read to him, and she said she couldnt believe how much it soothed him when she read it to him. Knowing the boy had artistic abilities, I asked him if he would like to draw some pictures to go with the story, and he gladly accepted. The illustrations came straight from the mind and heart of a young boy. His mother told me he took great pride in drawing them. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Carol comes from a family of five siblings and grew up in southwestern Ontario. She began her writing career by writing a weekly column for about six years with great success.
