I Know It's Christmastime
by Cristina Aguila Llorente Drost
with illustrations by Willi Red Buhay
Based on the authors personal experiences and childhood recollections, this book gives readers, especially children, a feeling of Christmas traditions observed in the Philippines. Another goal of the book is to promote better understanding of the customs and traditions the Filipino children enjoy every Christmas.
Some of the traditions may vary from those of other Filipinos because of regional differences, but for the most part, traditions have Spanish origins. This is understandable because the Philippines was under Spanish rule for almost 400 years.
