by Don Fish Sr. In the Shadows of War is a recount of a young army officers time as a military intelligence operative during the Vietnam War in the late 1960s. This story, however, takes place in Germany during those tumultuous times and chronicles the often difficult duties he and four other officers, working as a five-man team, were required to perform at the request of their President. It was a very painful and difficult book to write after all these years, but its a story that needs to be told. It is a story you have never heard in the media or anywhere else for that matter, and the reasons for which will become crystal clear as you progress through the chapters. ABOUT THE AUTHOR At the age of fifty-seven, Don was finally able to fulfill a lifelong dream by writing his first book.
