by Doug Smith Journey to the Crossroads is not only my story. Its about various aspects of life. Most people will enjoy some parts of Journey, because they will be able to identify with it. All people have personal issues. Usually, these problems dont take up a large portion of a lifetime. My heart, soul, and yes, my past are in these pages. Ive told the story with my usual sense of humor, honesty, and passion for life. These are all very important attributes that have helped me survive during my journey. Now Im looking to the future with a new body and name, more fitting to my heart, soul and yes, my own perception of life. My burning passion for life and love, my moral code of ethics, and my sense of humor all remain intact. For these three very important traits will still shine through my smiles to the future. Some people may not agree with what Ive done. I challenge them to read the pages of Journey with an open mind and heart, imagining themselves in my shoes, walking the same path. ABOUT THE AUTHOR I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1952. I was an only child until my parents divorced. Then when my father remarried, I gained an instant stepmother, sister, and brother. My early years were quite rocky. Although an extrovert by nature, I was forced to act like a turtle and hide inside my shell. There I developed a strong sense of self and a strong code of moral ethics. In following the code of honesty and ethics, I must state I was never an attorney. I wanted to protect my future identity by not divulging my prior occupation. I started emerging from my shell with a strong inner core, unfailing enthusiasm for life, honesty to a fault, and the ability to bounce back from lifes mishaps, retaining a strong spiritual relationship with God, being adventurous, creative, fun-loving, and passionate. This is my story of how, what, where, when, and why I began Journey to the Crossroads and ended up a self-made man. So step into my shoes as you open your mind and heart while reading this book. Happy reading and may God be with you. (2007, paperback, 116 pages) Availability: Usually ships in 2-3 business days.
