by George H. Miller, M.D. F.A.C.O.G.
Life...Through the Eyes of a Gynecologist by George H. Miller, M.D., Fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, gives the reader an inside look into the life of an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. The author takes the reader through the journey of training including medical school, internship, residency and a stint in the Air Force before embarking on his private practice of the specialty in Twin Falls, Idaho. The training years, rather than being a monotonous grind, contain a series of adventures which are interesting and exciting. Dr. Miller relates unique patient encounters as well as his philosophy of practicing the specialty.
During his 30 years of private solo practice, Dr. Miller relates his experiences surviving metastatic cancer and serious heart disease. He never looses his quest for adventure, including exciting experiences as an airplane pilot. Diaries of several adventures in Nepal, Africa and on the glaciers of Alaska are included with ample photographs to go along with the text.
Few have lived such a full and rewarding life, yet George and Ruth Ann Miller consider their greatest accomplishment the raising of their three sons: Dr. Kenneth, Dr. Daniel, and Dr. Stephen Miller.
