by G. Clinton Styles
While evading an English brigantine out of the Caribbean, the crew of a seventeenth century pirates sloop, the Crystal Anne, are caught at sea during Halcyon days and find themselves hiding among the cays off the North Carolina coast. During the night, while waiting for the wind to return, they gather upon the deck and spin the legends and fables of the seas into adventure stories, twisting their tales in an attempt to out do one another.
A Pirates Story is about a pirate captain, who tries to regain his hidden treasure and spare his young nephews life. Meranda is a story about a pirate captured by a sea witch and the mermaid determined to rescue him. The Mystic Moon depicts a cold-hearted pirated captain, who gathers his old crew together for one last chance at the treasures of a ghost ship.
With the return of the wind and the competition won, the crew of the Crystal Anne continue to run from the English brigantine with their stolen bounty and their own story to tell.About the Author
