The People Speak & Other Inspirational Poems
by Sannie L. Chamblee
Begun as a private endeavor and a legacy for his children and grandchildren,The People Speak & Other Inspirational Poems is an insightful collection of work from the pen of Sannie L.Chamblee, a retired educator, who has lived during extraordinary times and overcome the obstacles that many find insurmountable.
The title piece is an unequivocal call to change for America, inspired by the historic election of Barack Obama. Sannie L. Chamblee’s poetry, however, goes beyond the realm of politics to address the feelings, behaviors, trials and tribulations that we all experience. By harnessing life lessons and inspirational insight, Sannie L. Chamblee offers the kind of common sense encouragement and plain spoken wisdom that is becoming difficult to find in this modern age.
The People Speak & Other Inspirational Poems is an uplifting collection that you will return to time and time again for encouragement, guidance and comfort.

Sannie married his college sweetheart, Martha A. Purvis, from Rocky Mount, North Carolina. God granted them three children: Sannie A. Chamblee, Christyl M. Chamblee, and Aldric D. Chamblee.
After working in education for ten years in Hertford County, North Carolina, Sannie and Martha moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia. Sannie taught in both elementary and middle schools in the Norfolk City Public Schools System, while Martha taught in the primary grades.
