by Rev. Edwin M. Dawkins Romans is the most important of the Pauline Epistles because of the doctrines it focuses on and how it develops them. Romans: Pauls Theological Epistle is designed to bring originality to the interpretation of this letter. Romans remains relevant to Christians because it contains timeless truths, while we live in an age characterized by the proliferation of false doctrines, particularly regarding salvation. It is clear that practicality and originality were major concerns in the writing of this book. It is possible to bury truth under layers of scholarship, making the discovery seem like a burdensome task. Romans: Pauls Theological Epistle is not void of scholarship, as that would deprive readers of essential information; however, it is not so loaded with scholarship that practical application of the truths found in Romans cannot be found.
