Rose Songs
by Rose Ella Holmes

This book was written by Rose Ella Holmes with a profound and spiritual insight about the trials and tribulations she has encountered and overcame in her life. It serves as a living testimony about her faith in Jesus Christ and how this faith is put into action through our daily lives when we are confronted with obstacles and challenges. As you read this book, you will quickly discover that faith is the driving and motivational force that helps her overcome her perplexing moments, and it will inspire you as well to do the same.

With this understanding, she leans on the word of God for concert evidence that supports the results of her faith. She hopes those who read this book will be inspired and compelled to seek and foster a deep relationship with Jesus Christ.

About the Author

Rose Ella Holmes was born on March 24, 1945. She was raised in the low country of Charleston, South Carolina, in the small town of Lincolinville. She is the daughter of Reverend Eddie Sallie Sr. and Mattie Simmons-Sallie. She comes from a large family of thirteen siblings. She attended the local schools in the area and graduated high school in 1964. As a child, she attended a little wooden church called Mt. Zion Baptist Church. While there she sang in the church choir with her mother. In April of 1966, she was joined in holy matrimony to Franklyn Holmes of Summerville, South Carolina. God blessed her with four children from this union: Gwendolyn, Demetrice, Felicia, and Travis.

Rose is an evangelist by preaching the word and ministering through spiritual old-fashioned gospel songs. She sings acapella and writes many of the songs she sings. She is an official greeter for Wal-Mart and has a smile for everyone she meets. She resides in Ladson, South Carolina.
