The author was born and raised in the small village of Addyston, Ohio. He has lived in Addyston his entire life. When he was 22 he designed and built a house. He and his wife, Martha, married and they still live in that house.
After finishing high school, Benjamin entered a tool and die apprenticeship program that General Motors was offering at that time. For the next 33 years he used his talents and expertise, both in blue collar and salary positions.
While working at General Motors, Benjamin was busy with his activities at the Addyston Baptist Church. At the age of 22 he began to teach a Sunday School class of young people. Soon after that the became the assistant Sunday School superintendent. About that same time he became the Vacation Bible School director. At the age of 27 he was ordained as a deacon of the Addyston Baptist Church. In 1978 he became the superintendent. At this time he still serves as the Sunday School superintendent, deacon, and VBS director.(2012, paperback, 44 pages)
