by Odell Seabrooks, a.k.a. The Rhyming Poet The best way to describe this book is poetry on a wide variety of subjects. My book starts with love poems and ends with poems about terror. Note the subtitle of my book. Isnt love beautiful? And isnt terror madness? My book consists of three parts: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The first part (The Good) is designed to make people ooh and aah and be simply amazed at what they are reading: the most beautiful love poems in the world. The second part (The Bad) is designed to make people take stock of their lives, and it urges them to not become human failures. And the third part (The Ugly) is designed to induce from half the worlds human population frowns and farts and make the other half clap their hands even if they have to do it in their hearts. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Im a fifty-five-year-old black man who has spent nearly half my life in prisons in three different states. Im neither proud nor ashamed of it because it gave me enduring wisdom, something many will never obtain. The last stint was every day of a fifteen-year sentence. I came from a poor family and always wanted to become rich. Unfortunately for me, I went about it the wrong way: crime. But my years in prison made me a very wise person. At the risk of sounding arrogant, nobody can write a book such as this without heavenly wisdom. And this said, wisdom came to me during my last stint in prison. Why? I dont know. But what I do know is Ive got to share it with the world in a book Im hoping will turn the whole literary world upside down.
