by Les Logue Rory Williams lives on Manhattan Island in New York City. He loves to play tennis, and his favorite pro is playing a charity match in New Jersey. He drives his old Chevy to Flushing Meadows to see him play. After the match, Rory is driving home through the Holland Tunnel when his car dies. He works on it for a long time and cant get it to run. When he starts walking out, he notices there are no cars in the tunnel. He wonders why. Rory walks out into the city and cant believe what he is seeing. Everybody is dead, including the dog at the end of a leash. He wonders how he is going to survive all alone. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Les Logue is a retired handyman. He has always had a passion for writing. He couldnt write on a typewriter because he is a terrible typist and it is hard to fix mistakes on paper, but with a computer, all of the problems are solved. He has written two shorts stories and has two other novels started. He lives in southern California. He volunteers at the Senior Center for four hours every weekday.
