The End and a New Beginning
by John Everett Johnson In 2175 a comet hits the earth, and only those who have cover from radiation and volcanic ash live to see another day. Two such people are Charlie Bell and his mother, who survive due to Charlies foresight. His mother is killed, and he goes to find his sister. He finds others still alive and slowly forms a clan of good people. He then travels throughout the United States, surviving first on canned food and later having to hunt for their food when even canned food spoils. This is his story from almost the end of the earth to a new beginning. ABOUT THE AUTHOR I was born in Blanchardville, Wisconsin, and graduated from high school in 1944.
