Teddy longs to be part of it all to be helpful, to play but no one needs or wants him. Children also turn him away. All alone and sad, Teddy pulls his sled up a steep high hill. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Gisela Lorca is a professional dancer who began her career with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet and in Broadway shows. Later, she and her partner performed internationally as the renowned flamenco dance team of Soler and Lorca. Her travels made her adept in five foreign languages. She has written stories and poems since early childhood. Although Lorca studied at the Art Students League in New York City, she chooses to keep her illustrations simple and childlike in nature for her childrens stories. Lorca continues to perform, and she also teaches ballet and flamenco dance. She currently resides in Maplewood, New Jersey.
