POET'S PROFILE I was born in the Cumberland Mountains, East of Cookeville, Tennessee, on December 4, 1922. I graduated from Cookeville Central High Class of 1941. I moved to Anderson, in 1941 and served four years in the U.S.A.F. I worked forty years for General Motors, retiring in 1982. I wrote song lyrics in my twenties without success.
