By E. Randolph Hawthorne
My prior books, When the Morning Dove Sings and The Morning Dove Still Sings, told the life story of the damage that can be done to a child when one grows up without proper love and guidance.
Times were hard growing up in the Deep South during the fifties and sixties. They were, however, times of innocence. As someone once stated, We didnt know nuttin. We lived simple, yet happy lives, and there was much work to be done. But were there good times to be had? You bet! We had fun and in view of the fact that there were not any video games or much television, the majority of the time we played baseball or football or we made up our own games. We had great imaginations. There were good times and fond memories.
Treasured Memories tells of some of those good times and moments that were shared from the time of preschool to the present. Some of these stories you may find unbelievable, but they are all true.
It is certainly my hope that the reading of this book will enlighten you to the fact that those things that may seem impossible are sometimes possible (depending upon your belief system). Further, it is my hope that the reading of this book will bring a twinkle to your eye, a smile to your face, fond memories to your mind, and treasured memories of your own to spark a moment of joy to your heart and soul.About the Author
