by Judy Stewart
‘Twas the Two Weeks of Christmas Break is a charming children’s story that focuses on an unexpected yet captivating event for the characters involved. As Christmas break arrives, parents scramble to find activities and chaperones for their children. As the frantic parents try to organize their respective days, a most incredible occurrence comes to fruition. In the middle of the neighborhood, a magical area sprouts, inhabited by several well-known superheroes and athletes. Dividing the children into groups, these new leaders play with and teach the children during the entire Christmas break.
Inspired by a local newsperson’s comments and experience as a teacher and mother, ‘Twas the Two Weeks of Christmas Break was realized. Who among us wouldn’t enjoy spending a couple of weeks learning from those characters and heroes we all grew up idolizing? Not only is this a great Christmas story, but it is also a great story of the gift of Christmas joy.
