A positive mental attitude is no more or less than the way one conceives, believes, and lives his or her daily life. Learning the principles and concepts is available to one and all. Finding a self-motivator that will propel or become the catalyst one needs, however, is the true secret of living a life that has constant enjoyment. If you have achieved this feat, you then have what is the ultimate. You are living a life with a total positive acceptance.
Never again can you say, ”I can’t do it,” or “I don’t know how to even begin,” for these are answers and excuses for those who have not been exposed to the keys of life. Now comes a time when we are charged to spread the word, to teach others, and to give what we have been given. We are to repay the debt of our success by watching those we teach become successful in living a life of positive acceptance. We are obligated to share our knowledge. Let your self-motivator become the joy of watching your friends, relatives, and loved ones learn the secret: Life has riches in store for them as it has for you.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I am a father of four and grandfather of ten. After twenty-two years of service, I retired form the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. During my tenure, I was promoted to correctional counselor and remained at the position for seven years. In addition to being a counselor, I retired as a senior lieutenant. Among numerous awards received during my career, the one of which I am most proud is Volunteer of the Year, which is through the Department of Justice. This project was established by President George H. Bush. Each agency within the Department of Justice was to nominate staff who performed volunteer work outside their workplace.
In addition to my career with the Bureau of Prisons, I spent four years on active duty with the U.S. Navy. After serving in the Navy, I worked with children in my neighborhood for an eight-year period. This consisted in coaching different sporting events in both sanctioned little league baseball and sandlot sports, along with informal counseling.
