As It Was: A Poetry Collection
by John S. Pesaturo, Sr.
This poetry collection contents vary from real life experiences to weather conditions to dark times and happy times throughout the authors life. A lot of the content deal with nature and what transpires from it. The collection explains how people in New England and in the northeast United States depend on nature to scratch out a living. It also explains in different pieces that we are not here on Earth forever and one should try to make the best of life while we are here.
Some other pieces divulge about the authors writing hopes for the future, his grown-up child, and ex-wife. Some of the imagery the author uses includes a long drive down a highway, the common color overwhelmingly abundant, and the doctors diagnosis in his office. This collection touches on war, friendship, excitement, doom, fear, altercations, church, the beach, love of nature, laziness, love, memories, good times, and the will to live!
