by Sally McMillan
Fondly YoursAn Ordinary Life presents a collection of poems, stories and essays written over the course of a lifetime. It highlights qualities relating to identity, beliefs, and love in various forms, and touches upon diverse challenges one tends to find in a sometimes-uncertain, modern society. It marks moments of the authors journey with attention to the people, places, and events important to her, and provides provoking thoughts and enlightenment for a reader who might be interested in a related idea or manner of presenting a memoir.
Told with simplicity, charm, and humor, this book is an antidote to books written by/about celebrities and politicians, with whose lifestyles the ordinary person cannot identify. Its a call to celebrate our own lives and to find meaning in the ordinary things we encounter along the way.
