About the Author
Arthur J. Solomon was raised in Screven County, Georgia. He spent numerous years working and living on many different farms, which groomed him to become as strong as a bull. At nineteen years old he married the love of his life, Lorine Jones Solomon. A year later, Solomon was drafted into the United States Army, which he grew to love so well he continued to reenlist for over twenty-one years. Some of his tours of duty included London, Germany, Vietnam, Colorado, Texas, and California, just to name a few. His dedicated services to the United States concluded in 1974 with an honorable discharge. Over the years, Arthur and Lorine raised six children until she preceded him in death in 1984. Today, at ninety-one years of age, Solomon enjoys quality family time with his children and grand and great grandchildren, reminiscing and creating memories, going to church, going to the junkyard, completing projects around the house, and dedicating time helping others.
