Mommy's Sandcastle is a resource for parents, educators and counselors to teach children about the many faces of suicide. It was written as a direct result of the author's personal and career experiences with suicide.
About the Author
Veronica Thomas is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Ohio with a compassion and desire to extend a helping hand in the community around her.
In 2007, Veronica graduated from Shawnee State University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Here her interest in suicide education and prevention began. She has been serving in the funeral industry since graduating from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2008.
Veronica currently resides in Brunswick, Ohio with her husband Jonny Thomas and works for Waite and Son Funeral Homes, a family owned firm, dedicated to public service since 1902.
