On a bright, calm summer day, Little Joe’s mom heard loud screams coming from the kitchen. “Mom! The Doodle ate the Noodles! The Doodle ate the Noodles!”
​ Little Joe loved helping his mom Debbie at Doodleville Doggie Daycare. Doodles, Doodles, everywhere! Here a Doodle, there a Doodle, lounging patiently while waiting to be groomed. Little Joe screamed because his entire lunch of delicious noodles was missing. Pasta was Little Joe's all-time favorite meal, and apparently one of the doodle's favorite meals, too.
​ But wait! They have their own Doodle named Coco. Would Coco have eaten Little Joe’s noodles? Coco is quite lovable but has her mischievous moments. Little Joe doesn’t want to blame the wrong Doodle, so he is on the case to solve the disappearance of his delicious noodles.
About the Author
Debra Powers-Cook grew up in the beautiful country setting of Starkville, Mississippi. She and her family enjoyed the simple life of planting and eating from her grandma’s garden which was full of fresh veggies, a large pecan tree, and free-range chickens with tasty eggs. Going horseback riding was like a trip to the amusement park, and catching butterflies and fireflies were a great joy.
​ Powers-Cook currently resides in Southern California. She is proud to call this place home for her family. Just a short drive away are amusement parks, a flower field, and wonderful beaches. The organic fresh produce and farm fresh eggs from the local farmers’ market bring back wonderful childhood memories.
