About the Author
The author, Hope Joy Hendrix, has experienced upcoming, unknown fears herself and used similar techniques to get through them. The basic technique has served Hope well from childhood to adulthood, including moving from her home province to Manitoba, Canada where she now lives, as well as defeating the fears of the publishing process.
When the opportunity arises, Hope uses the technique with those she meets. On a camping trip, a woman feeding an apple to a horse started to panic. Hope demonstrated while explaining why she held the apple in her palm, keeping her fingers straight, ensuring the horse kept its eye on the prize, and away from her fingers.
She placed another slice in her palm, the woman’s hand under her own, slid her hand away, leaving the apple in the woman’s palm for a few seconds. The horse ate it, not biting the woman. The woman realized she had beat her fear, feeling delighted from her experience.
