Born in Sacramento, California, I spent my teenage years in Saint Helens, Oregon. There I graduated from Saint Helens High School. I spent three years in the U.S. Army and one year in the reserves. After receiving a diploma in math from Big Ben Collage, I worked in construction and for Jiffy Lube. Now I work for BNSF railroad.
