Therapy for Your Soul Book of Poetry
by Shunt Gamble

This is a journal of poems and quotes that I wrote over a seven-year time span. During those seven years, I experienced some of the most challenging trials and tests I had ever been called to endure. In spite of this, I was also able to see the issues of life from an excitingly new perspective. This journal represents each season of those seven years. It is a reflection of my prayers, and His answers to my prayers. It is also a reflection of the lessons I have learned and the wisdom I have gained.

Writing during this course of time helped to ease my pains and ultimately brought me closer to God. Whenever I felt Him speaking to me or leading me I would grab the closest notebook or sheet of paper and write. Writing Therapy for Your Soul was my therapy. The tests I faced required absolute faith and trust in His plan for my life. When He felt my hurt and pain or my weakening faith, He offered His shoulder to lean on. He used writing as His medium to keep me strong.

Now, I will share my ups and downs, perspectives, and Gods promises with you. I want you to know that you are not alone as you go through the tests and trials of life. God has not forgotten you, or the promises He has made concerning your future. With that I pray that your soul will be blessed as you find comfort in knowing you are not alone.

About the Author

I am the proud, single mother of a beautiful seven-year-old, Jontue Hayter. I am also a grade school teacher. I began to focus on writing shortly after graduating from Prairie View A&M University and the birth of my son. I use writing as my instrument to reach those beyond my community.

It is my mission to encourage, inspire, and convey creativity through my writing. I am committed to spreading a sense of inclusion, Gods love, joy, and hope.
