Product Overview

by Frank Gilbertson Join our hero on a deserted beach deep in Mexico as he formulates a plan to reclaim his spent youth and search for a long-lost love. You will travel across oceans, continents, and time as he recounts the life that has brought him to this out-of-the-way place. With insight and humor, Wasted Youth explores the convoluted psychology of a modern-day midlife crisis that should never have happened. Ride big waves, sail bravely into the teeth of a hurricane only to get shipwrecked. Explore a deep-sea wreck inhabited by hammerhead sharks with black coral divers and sink the same boat twice. Let it all ride on a long shot. Play Friday afternoon golf with your buddies and learn what to say to a naked lady. Enjoy these and other misadventures as you try in vain to answer the age-old question What would Jimmy Buffett do? ABOUT THE AUTHOR The author shown above on Captain Bobs boat, Dream Catcher, in the British Virgin Islands was born in frigid Cudahy, Wisconsin, but was raised in sunny Southern California, where he currently resides in the quiet beachfront town of Encinitas with his wife of twenty-five years, Barbara, and their three beagles. He has two grown children: a daughter in law school in case he needs the help and a son who is following closely in his footsteps. The author would like to thank all of his family members, friends, colorful characters, exotic locales, and the lifetime of adventures it took to make this labor of love possible. His second novel, Tales from the Campfire, will be published soon. Visit our website at WWW.WASTEDYOUTHTHEBOOK.COM (2007, paperback, 264 pages) Availability: Usually ships in 2-3 business days.
