Product Overview
by Jim E. Flowers To indulge in poetry is an effort to relate something about oneself and the world in which one finds oneself. My words tell people about my religion and my faith in Jesus, the one who gives me hope. Even though words are cheap, they can change lives and improve the world in which we live. I hope you will come to know Jesus and accept Him as your personal Savior. These words are written at a time when we need a better value system and ways of doing things. Many people are spiritually and physically hurting. The Bible gives us inspiration and hope in dealing with our daily problems as well as long-term hang-ups. My poems were written to help bring people closer to the Lord. Your friend in Him, Jim E. Flowers ABOUT THE AUTHOR I was born on October 6, 1946 the son of Jack and Sybil in Mississippi. Three years later we moved to Alexandria, Va. where I attended Maury Elementary. In June of 1964 I graduated from Mount Vernon High School. Later that year I registered for classes at Furman University where I completed two years of liberal arts education. I worked almost twenty-six years for the U.S. government and retired in March of 1996. Shortly after my Mom died I moved to Richmond, Va. in 1998. My Mom and I lived together for fourteen years after my Father died and she was faithful to help me have a place to live. The Lord was faithful to provide for us. I started writing poetry a few years later as a hobby. (2007, paperback, 100 pages) Availability: Usually ships in 2-3 business days.
