Product Overview
by MSG(RET)Hubert C. Jackson A career military man as well as an history buff, especially black history, it is fitting that Hubert C. Jackson was inspired to write about the contributions of his comrades in arms, who made sacrifices to open doors for so many after them. Among them: the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion, the first and only all-black parachute infantry battalion in the United States Army; the members of the 2nd Ranger Company(Airborne), the first and only all-black Airborne Ranger company in the U.S. Army; and the original crew of the USS Mason, the first, and only U.S. Navy ship to be manned by a predominantly black crew. Mr. Jackson also writes about those gallant men and women, from all branches of the service, with whom he served. Heroes and History is also about the young warriors who are being tested on new battlefields. Always serve proudly and with honor; the future is yours to mold.
