About the AuthorJames Shuler is father to five boys. He is a retired Navy chief and witness to World War II and the wars in Korea and Vietnam. He is also witness to the Fourth Expedition of RADM Byrd to the South Pole in 1946 and 1947.
Having traveled to the four corners of the earth, he remembers much of it. He is also the author of Selective Memories (a biography), James Journal, and miscellaneous poetry. He was caretaker for his beloved Georgia for many years until her passing in 2004.
